Job Title: Route to Market (RTM) Data & Project Specialist

Job Summary

  • As a Route to Market (RTM) Data & Project Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the effectiveness of our sales and distribution strategies through data excellence, systems optimization, and project leadership.
  • Reporting to the Route to Market Manager, you will serve as a key enabler in capturing high-quality customer and distributor data, leading RTM-related projects, and supporting decision-making across Sales, Logistics, IT, and Finance.
  • You will also spearhead stakeholder training and champion the use of digital tools and analytics to unlock new levels of efficiency and market reach.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data collection and validation processes from field teams and partners.
  • Ensure accurate, up-to-date records across databases and reporting systems.
  • Conduct regular data audits and identify gaps or inconsistencies.
  • Develop and deliver dashboards and reports that support RTM strategy.
  • Lead the execution of RTM transformation projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Create project roadmaps, track progress, and manage cross-functional delivery.
  • Monitor KPIs and recommend adjustments to enhance impact.
  • Support pilot rollouts and process refinement.
  • Collaborate with IT and system owners to enhance tools and data flows.
  • Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Drive adoption of innovative technologies like GIS and AI-powered analytics.

Requirements

  • A degree in Social or Management Sciences (HND/BSc/B.A); a Master’s or MBA is an advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial operations, preferably within FMCG distribution.
  • Strong skills in data analytics, project execution, and digital tools (GIS, CRM).
  • Professional certifications in Project Management or Data Analytics (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) are a plus.
  • A strong foundation in field sales, distributor operations, or customer marketing
  • Train internal teams, sales reps, and distributors on data capture, tool usage, and RTM best practices.
  • Serve as the go-to expert on customer and route-to-market data issues.
  • Partner with management to develop data-informed RTM strategies.
  • Drive improvements in sales efficiency, order fulfillment, and route optimization.
  • Deliver timely, actionable insights that influence operational decisions.
  • Promote the use of real-time data to boost market responsiveness and service delivery.

About the Job

  • The Learning Partner plays a key role in shaping the leadership capabilities and will be responsible for designing and delivering impactful leadership development programs across different organizational layers
  • Co-creating effective learning experiences, and driving the execution of core and elective leadership programs whilst contributing to the broader Learning & Capability agenda through project management, vendor engagement, and cross-country collaboration.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and People Managers to assess leadership development needs.
  • Review IDP and talent data to identify trends and target audiences for development programs.
  • Hold regular developmental conversations to stay aligned with business priorities.
  • Create learning communities and contribute to the evolution of leadership curricula.
  • Support the re-design of existing programs to ensure relevance and impact.
  • Strengthen knowledge of the leadership curriculum across local HR teams.
  • Maintain accurate and timely training plans and reports to meet internal standards and compliance needs.
  • Track and reconcile leadership and functional training data for ITF purposes.
  • Work closely with both internal and external training vendors to ensure effective solution delivery.
  • Contribute to CoE projects and support leadership curriculum delivery across the region, with occasional travel.
